News from Colin Shaw (via David Medland)...

We have recently heard from OP Colin Shaw (our oldest OPA(E) member at 87 years young!) about a visit he made to Atlanta in October last year. He attached a photo of him (attached below) with two other OPs, Syed Haider & Vikram Singha,  with whom he met up for a very pleasant and enjoyable lunch and writes " A wide span in SPS days - 1944 & 1985!!! But with great commonality in many ways, as discovered over lunch. SPS certainly leaves a great positive something in all of us, no matter the time span."

News from the late Mike Coldham (staff '54-'58):

I have had health problems, so could not attend this year's OPA reunion. But I did succeed in travelling to Buckingham Palace in May, for my wife's investiture with an OBE. This was 'for services to social justice through art therapy and mediation in Bristol and overseas'. 'Overseas' included Africa, especially Uganda, and in Europe, Serbia. We also celebrated our Ruby Wedding in July this year, for which we asked people to wear or bring something red. We are sending three photos, one of Marian, myself, our daughter Anna and sister-in-law Felicity at Buckingham Palace; the second of an overview of our Ruby Wedding party, attended by about 100 guests; the third with the two of us and the cake.

Reminiscences by Colin Shaw

N.B. Pictures of Colin from the 40's have been difficult to get hold of, to say the least (AC). Please send us some more interesting memoirs (photos are a must) to be considered for upload in this section. Use the contact form.
